The state budget seeks to achieve OMR 8.7 billion public revenues this year. KSA Saudi Arabia issues final VAT implementing regulations: Following the issue of the final VAT law on July 28, 2017, Saudi Arabia has published its final VAT implementing regulations, said Al Tamimi & Company, a leading law firm in the Middle East. KUWAIT Kuwait s investments in US top $300 billion: Kuwait's Sovereign Wealth Fund investments in the US are roughly estimated at over $300 billion, and are diversified between stocks, bonds -primarily US treasuries- real estate and technology, a media report said. EGYPT Egypt's tourism revenues rise 170% in 2017: Egypt's tourism revenues jumped by 170 percent in the first seven months of 2017, reaching $3.5 billion, a government official told Reuters, in welcome news for an economy heavily reliant on the sector for foreign currency and jobs. Arab GDP up 2.9% in 2016 due to oil price hike: The Arab Gross Domestic Product last year increased to 2.9 per cent from 2.5 per cent in 2015 driven by oil price hike, according to state news agency Wam. QATAR Qatar's central bank raises yields in three-month, six-month T-bill sale: Qatar's central bank said it sold 1 billion Qatari riyals ($274.7 million) worth of treasury bills in a monthly auction on Wednesday, with yields higher than in its previous offer. 2

EIB Emirates Islamic posts H1 net profit of $105m: Emirates Islamic s net profit for the first half of 2017 stood at Dh387 million ($105.3million) compared to Dh137 million for the same period last year, reflecting the success of its investment deposits. DANA Payment of US$ 1 billion by KRG: Dana Gas can confirm that the sum of US$ 1 billion paid by the KRG in the recently announced settlement agreement was received by the PEARL petroleum company limited (Dana Gas share 35%) prior to the signing of the agreement on the 30th August 2017 and the announcement of that agreement shortly afterwards on the same day. UAE s non-oil trade jumps 3.2% in first quarter: The value of the UAE s non-oil trade reached Dh401 billion in the first quarter of 2017, up 3.2% compared to the Dh388 billion recorded in the same quarter of 2016. Abu Dhabi banks post $2.45 billion income in Q2: The net income of Abu Dhabi-based commercial banks amounted to Dh9 billion ($2.45 billion) during Q2 2017, a growth of 4.1 per cent from Dh8.64 billion during the corresponding period in 2016. SCA issues draft on capital market clearing: The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has announced a draft resolution on the practice of clearing activities in UAE capital markets, urging all parties concerned to send their feedback on the draft not later than September 17, 2017, before its entry into force. DPW DP World to build deepwater port in Ecuador: The President of Ecuador Lenin Moreno and DP World Group Chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem on Sept. 1 performed a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of the greenfield multi-purpose port project at Posorja. 3
