  3. AFI 36-703 Standards of Conduct 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G Employees are to perform official duties lawfully and comply with prescribed standards of conduct in all official matters. Count on us!

  4. Standards of Conduct (Con t) 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G Employee Work. All employees are expected to: Discharge assigned duties conscientiously and effectively. Be present for duty unless authorized to be absent. Follow Air Force Instructions and comply in a timely manner with proper instructions or orders. Confer with line management (starting with immediate supervisor) to discuss matters/concerns, obtain information, or solve problems that relate to the job. This does not limit the right of employees to contact the Equal Opportunity (EO) Office without first going through supervisors regarding matters of equal employment opportunity, consistent with AFI 36-2710, Equal Opportunity (EO). This also does not limit the right of employees to contact the Inspector General (IG) to report fraud, waste, and abuse, or to the Civilian Personnel Section (CPS) or union representative to file grievances or complaints, without first going through supervisors. Bargaining Unit Employee vs Non-Bargaining Unit Employee 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G Bargaining Agreements Defined Agreements between agencies and union that govern the terms of employment for the employees in that bargaining unit Bargaining Unit Employee (BUE) Employees hired in a bargaining unit position automatically becomes a BUE Non-Bargaining Unit Employee (Non-BUE) Employees excluded from a bargaining unit under law Count on us!

Position Description and Performance Plan 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G New employees are given a Position Description (PD) and performance plan - GS, WG, WL, WS (DPMAP) Position Requirements Document (PRD) and contribution plan - NH, NJ, NK (AcqDemo) PD/PRD defines the position and the duties of the position New employees should receive these within their first 30 days Count on us!

Annual Appraisal Cycle 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G Rating cycle is DPMAP from 1 April to 31 March AcqDemo from 1 October to 30 September Each appraisal system requires at least 1 feedback during the rating cycle Each appraisal system has separate training requirements. Leave Accrual 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G Annual Leave Employees with less than 3 years of service earn 4 hours a pay period Employees with 3 but less than 15 years of service earn 6 hours a pay period Employees with 15 or more years of service earn 8 hours of leave a pay period Sick Leave Employees earn 4 hours a pay period Count on us!

Family Medical Leave Act 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G Must have completed 12 months of qualified civilian service Up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for the following: Birth and care of a child Placement of child for adoption Care of family member with serious health condition Serious health condition of employee Supervisor responsible to assist and approve Count on us!

Paid Parental Leave 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G Paid Parental Leave (PPL) Act took effect October 2020 Grants federal employees (full time or part time) 12 weeks of paid leave following the birth or placement of a child Eligibility Must have 12 months of qualified federal service Count on us!

Voluntary Leave Transfer Program 7 5 T H A I R B A S E W I N G Option for employees with a qualifying medical emergency affecting self or family member Completed application must be accompanied by appropriate medical documentation and contain: Diagnosis, prognosis, expected duration Leave you donate is not a tax deduction Donated leave cannot be used for bereavement Unused hours are returned to donors Sick leave cannot be donated, only annual leave Count on us!
