  1. CAT Syllabus, Eligibility and Pattern The Common Admission Test (CAT) is one of the most popular entrance examinations in India for admission into a number of MBA colleges. Year after year thousands of new entrants work tirelessly to crack this examination. While much focus is placed on the preparation process understanding the CAT exam syllabus, mastering the CAT exam pattern, and meeting the CAT exam eligibility criteria many students are curious about what comes next: the fee charged of MBA programs after clearing the Common Admission Test. The journey does not end when a student clears CAT or any other management entrance exam for that matter. The process of acquiring an MBA requires knowledge of the fee structure that applies after completion of CAT, which differs from institution to institution depending on the rank of the college, structure of the course, as well as the facilities that are provided. CAT Exam Syllabus The CAT exam syllabus is broadly divided into three main sections: Quantitative Aptitude (QA): This section consist of questions that deals with math skills such as algebra, arithmetic, geometry, and trigonometry. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR): This section will test your data interpretation, your level of thinking in solving puzzles as well as your problem solving skills. Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC): This section tests your proficiency in the use of the English language, spelling, grammar and comprehension of words.

CAT Exam Pattern The CAT examination has been set in three part where each section has its own time limit. It was designed with a computerized approach, and has both MCQs and non-MCQs. Section 1: Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC): Again the as they spent 40 minutes preparing to complete a task that would have taken them an equal amount of time to do so. Section 2: Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR): It took 40 minutes on average to complete the tasks in each phase. Section 3: Quantitative Aptitude (QA): This would take around 40 minutes that encompasses three main areas namely: The Common Admission Test is a two-hour long exam as it comprises of four sections. It is very important to comprehend the pattern of CAT exam as it will help to divide the time duration and the methods of studying effectively. CAT Exam Eligibility To write the CAT exam it is obligatory to meet the examination eligibility. The Common Admission Test is conducted only for the candidates, who have passed the Bachelor s degree with not less than 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. For other backward class up to 2[2A/2B/3A/3B] candidates of Tamil Nadu, those communities which are mentioned in the Tamil Nadu Government Order dated 20. 07. 2007 the minimum percentage required is 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
